Lake Effect East/West
2021 / Chicago, IL

As the names suggest, these two nearly identical artworks take inspiration from Lake Michigan's direct connection as it abuts the city of Chicago. Sited in the respective lobbies of twin Class A towers, the colors and patterns evoke imagery of the contrast of land, water, and sky, and the 3D effect registers the artwork's depth as if looking from a bird's eye perspective over the city and landscape. These works were designed by art+architecture firm FYOOG.
